Red Velvet Cake

Red Velvet Cake....kek yang terhangat dipasaran...nama yang semewah rasanya....ditambah pulak dengan cream cheese frosting.....taste like heaven!! saja x apply abis topping tu coz nak tunjukkan kemewahan warnanya.....hihihih...
Atas permintaan kawan-kawan, saya sertakan resepi disini.. First resepi saya dpt dari Pinchmysalt.com n it was written in english....so check out this receipe...

Ingredient A

2 1/2 cup cake flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt ( I omit this )

Ingredient B

2 oz red coloring ( approx: 2 tbsp)
2 tbsp cocoa powder

Ingredient C

1/2 cup unsalted ( I'm using salted butter eg: buttercup/butterlite)
1 1/2 cup sugar ( can be reduce )
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 cup buttermilk ( 240ml full-cream milk + 1 tsp vinegar) put aside 10'

Ingredient C

1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp baking soda

1. Preheat oven @175'C.
2. Butter n flour the 9" round cake tin.
3. Sift all ingredient A & put aside.
4. In small bowl, mix red color + cocoa powder to form a thin paste w/o lump - set aside.
5. In large bowl, using mixer, beat butter + sugar till light & fluffy about 3'.
6. Beat eggs, add vanilla & red cocoa paste. Scrapping down using spatula.
7. Add in 1/3 ingredient A to the butter mixer and beat well.
8. Add 1/2 of buttermilk.
9. Beat in another 3rd flour mix & half of buttermilk. Repeat untill completely done. Beat until well combined. Make sure to scraping down with spatula.
10. In a small bowl, mix the ingredient D - vinegar+baking soda. Once fizz, add in to the cake batter & stir well.
11. Bake for 25-30 or till cooked.


**CREAMCHEESE FROSTING**

16oz creamcheese ( 2 blocks )- softened
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 1/2 cup icing sugar (sifted)

1. Using mixer, cream the cheese+butter till smooth.
2. Turn to low-speed, add in sugar + vanilla essence.
3. Turn ti high-speed, beat until light & fluffy.

Agak2 leh faham x? Kalo x brape paham meh tengok pulak resepi yg saya tibai dari blog Maklang azie ( sori maklang, bahasa agak kasar...hihihi).

BAHAN A

250 tepung kek
1 st baking powder
1/2 st garam
2 sb serbuk koko
- sume bahan diatas diayak bersama. Ketepikan.

BAHAN B

240ml buttermilk ( 240ml susu UHT full cream + 1 st cuka - biar 10')
2 sb pewarna merah

BAHAN C

300g gula castor ( boleh dikurangkan jika suka)
113g butter
2 biji telo size A ( saya guna gred B)
1 st esen vanila

BAHAN D

1 st cuka
1 st baking soda


1. Panaskan oven ( suhu mcm kt atas tuh)
2. Pukul butter 2'. Masukkan gula & pukul lg 3'.
3. Masuk telo sebiji2. Masukkan esen vanila.
4. Masukkan bahan A & bahan B secara berselang-seli.
   ( mula dgn tepung, akhiri ngan tepung)
5. Dlm bekas lain, masukkan bahan D. Habis je buih terus masuk kedlm adunan kek td.
6. Bakar @175'C selama 30' atau hingga kek masak.


CREAMCHEESE FROSTING

2 buku creamcheese ( lembutkan pada suhu bilik)
1/2 cwn butter
2 st esen vanila
2 cwn gula icing

1. Pukul butter & creamcheese hingga halus & gebu.
2. Perlahankan mixer, tambah gula icing & esen vanilla. Pukul sebati.
